Jason Dea West is a poet, a six-string philosopher,
a voice born of boxcars, backroads, and broken-in boots.
He sings what he lives and lives what he sings,
each lyric a lantern swinging through the dark of American nights.
With a heart steeped in vintage country, folk, and blues,
his songs carry the dust of the desert,
the hum of highway wires,
the howl of freedom and freight trains.
A harmonica moans, a guitar picks truth from silence,
and somewhere between satire and sorrow,
you’ll find him grinning, story in hand,
never far from his punk-folk flame.
He’s played taverns and tents,
circuses and shadowy theaters,
ridden rails and roadside ghosts,
his music a traveling song for the wild-hearted
and the wide awake.
